Thomas Tate, Senior Pastor

Tate Family Hello, I’m the senior pastor of CBC and more importantly the husband of Amy and the daddy to Micah (13), Marissa (11), Allie (10) and Adriana (7).

I believe that the order of commitment in my life is and should be God first, family second, church third, community fourth and the rest of the world fifth.  Whenever I get any of those out of order life gets chaotic.
I was born again at the age of 28 and have been serving Him ever since.  He is an awesome God who consumes my every thought and has given me a passion to share the Love, Peace, Strength and Truth that I have found in Jesus alone through the power of the Holy Spirit.  I am now 45.  I have been here at CBC since March 2011 and we are loving it and very excited about what God is going to do here, He has already begun the blessing.  Join us in the new beginning and the spreading of God’s Word and the power of His Spirit.

Emmanuel (Manny) Salinas, Youth Pastor

Hi, I’m Pastor Emmanuel (Manny) Salinas and this is my wife Sarah and my daughter Rebeca.  I’m the Youth Pastor here at Calvary Baptist Church in Tacoma.  Our family moved here from Southern California in February 2012.  I am originally from Peru and have lived in the US since 1991.

I graduated from Simpson College with a degree in Pastoral Studies.  I never thought I would work with teens, but during my internship the Lord led me to serve Him as a Youth Leader and I have loved it ever since.  My passion is to further the cause of Christ of making disciples who make disciples by leading students to own, know, live and share their faith in Jesus Christ.   Come check us out!
