Satisfaction in Christ (Part 1 of 2) – Jeremiah 2:13 (NCV)
Jeremiah 2:10-13
10 Go across the sea to the island of Cyprus and see. Send someone to the land of Kedar to look closely. See if there has ever been anything like this.
11 Has a nation ever exchanged its gods? (Of course, its gods are not really gods at all.) for idols worth nothing.
12 Skies, be shocked at the things that have happened and shake with great fear!” says the Lord.
13“My people have done two evils: They have turned away from me, the spring of living water. And they have dug their own wells, which are broken wells that cannot hold water.
John 4:7-10
Jesus Talks With a Samaritan Women
7 When a Samaritan woman came to the well to get some water, Jesus said to her, “Please give me a drink.”
8 (This happened while Jesus’ followers were in town buying some food.)
9 The woman said, “I am surprised that you ask me for a drink, since you are a Jewish man and I am a Samaritan woman.” (Jewish people are not friends with Samaritans.n)
10 Jesus said, “If you only knew the free gift of God and who it is that is asking you for water, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”
Jeremiah 2:13
“My people have done two evils: They have turned away from me, the spring of living water. And they have dug their own wells, which are broken wells that cannot hold water.
